Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Walter J. Evans is a 32-year law-enforcement veteran with over 24 years of supervisory, command and senior command-experience. He also has over twenty years experience in police promotion assessments, having assessed hundreds of promotion candidates for numerous major-city police departments across the nation.. He has developed assessment exercises for the City of Philadelphia and for the University of Oklahoma. He holds an MBA from Cameron University, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 247, as well as the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
Valerie Joyce Evans, Esq.
General Counsel
Valerie Evans has more than 30 years in the legal profession, with experience in criminal prosecution, litigation, worker's compensation and other workplace and employee-related matters. At Orion Methods she directs, advises and oversees all matters pertaining to curriculum development and regulatory compliance. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma. She is also a retired major with the Oklahoma Army National Guard.
Chaz Gormley
Curriculum Development - Private Security
Chaz Gormley is a native of Prince George's County, Maryland, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and the Founder & CEO of The Samori Group. Under the umbrella of The Samori Group he has established TSG Security, a private security entity, and TSG Training which provides firearms training and instruction. Motivated by the history of individuals and organizations such as Fannie Lou Hamer and The Deacons for Defense & Justice, Chaz is dedicated to creating self-reliant solutions that better aid the communities for which he provides services.
Joshua Lee
Curriculum Director - Law Enforcement & Security
Joshua Lee is a 12-year veteran law enforcement officer. After serving tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, in the United States Army, he continued his service as a commissioned police officer in the state of Oklahoma, and as a security team supervisor for the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. He currently holds the rank of captain for the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa Police Department, where he oversees all police and security operations and field training. He also serves as the department quartermaster, where he oversees procurement, distribution, disposal, and accountability of all department organizational and individual equipment. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Liberty University and an Associates's Degree in Criminal Justice from Tulsa Community College.
Ferrell Dixon Jr
Creative Director
Ferrell Dixon Jr provides creative direction, strategy, implementation of Orion's vision. He's the point person and the creative force behind Orion Methods creative efforts. Ferrell earned undergraduate degrees in both Graphic Design and Mass Communications from Rogers State University and has accumulated over five years of professional experience in broadcasting, marketing, graphic design, and public relations.
Melanie Y. Evans
Marketing Director
Melanie Evans oversees marketing and manages social media for Orion Methods. She is a licensed speech and language pathologist who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Communications and a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology, both from Howard University in Washington, DC. During her college career she served as Managing Editor of Howard University's PRIME publication.
